Over 40....2024

Hello my darling, can't believe im an over 40(not complaining, just in disbelief) I'm young yet old, if that makes any sense. year 2024 started out quite interestingly. i somehow linked up with an ex from 17 years ago, 17 years ago!!! that is my undergrad days! unbelievable right? yes, he was my first love, we were supposed to get married and stuff. well it turns out, we both haven't been lucky in love ( hahaha...what a funny) no kids and the cheesiest part is; he tried to lure me into thinking that we were linking up again for a good reason ( meant to be together and have our first kids together bs) 🙄 ..... I fell for it!! Well almost!! thank God I didn't. there's nothing there, the boy just lies just like the rest of them. Enough of the soapy stuff, men aint shit! sorry to the good ones, but that's my current feeling. so let me tell you about the shadies that are my age that have asked me out this year, or lie about liking me; The questions they ask: 1. Do you live in an estate/house/apartmemt/ flat? 2. Did you buy your house? 3. how do you manage the "urge" (read sexual edge) since you've been single for so long? 4. Are you seeing anyone? 5. Do you cook? or can you cook? 6. Will the child have enough space to run around your flat if we were to have a kid? it's hilarious out here, of all the things a person could ask to get to know me, this is what they choose to ask??!!! the world is ending soon for black men, Mark my words. This brings me to this analogy I've made overtime. Black women are raised to be welcoming to life advancements etc. for example, when parents decide to take their children to a multiracial school, they hope for their child to be exposed to better and want the best for their lives. The women welcome this advancement however the men somewhat lag behind. so when these ladies try to date their supposed equals, they discover that they in fact aren't equal because the men have chosen to remain wirh Stone age ideologies of how a relationship should be where the ladies have welcomed tje advancements that habe come with the modern society. for example, black modern girls enjoy a variety of couples activities that a traditional man wouldn't such as planned dates, stay cations, vacations, activities. a traditional man, however, wants to drink his beer, enjoy his time with his boys then come home to see his girlfriend for that shortwhile before dozing off to sleep. boredom!!! so the modern black finds herself leaning towards other races as they somewhat understand tje dating levels that a black modern girl has been socialized to. I wish our brothers would break away from the stubbornness of upkeeping social norms and just love freely. experience a life of love and fun activities i noticed how most were writing long paragraphs about why they do not celebrate valenties how miserable must you be for you to actually tell the whole world that grand love gestures matter not to you?! why us it that when love is discussed you quickly want to be defensive and tell us how you love your partner without anyone seeing it.?? isn't that borderline weird and shady? anyway, big ups to those who made their lovers days special. love is the greatest gift of all and the black community could do with a lot of that love it is sad that in 2024, we still meet grown ass men who still cannot ask a lady out appropriately without sounding like marketing scam. it all sounds is as if they want our assets, asking nonsense about what we bring to the table. if anyone asks that, you have every right to block them and move the hell on. a modern black women is mature enough to know how to support their partner but dare not ask silly questions that will leave you looking like a male version of a gold digger. if yiu fine a lady is holding down her career, raking care of herself and taking full responsibility of herself of her wellbeing, dare not ask her silly questions or wonder about where her next break will come from. she's been living waaay before you and she'll continue to live even after you. you are not the prize!! modern black women are liberated, they feed themselves, wine and dine themselves, take themselves to their dream vacation destinations, bully and rive their dream cars, live in their dream addresses, dress in the garments of their dreams! they do this all through discipline, hard work and motivation to want better and being open minded....which moat our black brothers could do with. I am not sure where they lose the plot but the guys that recive the same education and upbringing seem to hardly ever align with their modern black ladies. those who do, are often married off quite early and the ones left behind are the confused lot (sorry bit they do act all confused) Enough about boys, life is good. Cant believe i didnt revsive a single Valentines chocolate yet i had some few gents claiming to like me. sad. I blocked 2 from my WhatsApp as a result, I can't keep boring, directionless characters around. my skin is still popping, I dyed my hair black to hide the damn Grey's that were getting out of hand ( I am way too young for such stress). I have a healthy brain, I am grateful 🙏🏽 one thing i am looking forwad to is getting myself a convertible/cabriolet vehicle. the age allows it. it will be red and I cannot wait to cruise in it!! joy with gratitude, i bow my single self out 💕 Love yourself, protect your aura, invest in your health and savour the good life God has given us Did i mentioned, I'm glowing ? Hell, i am and my thighs are firm as ever! that's all that matters 😅
